Reisher Scholarship Program for Transferring Juniors

The Reisher Scholars Program awards scholarships to Fort Lewis College students who demonstrate financial need and merit. The program’s goal is to assist promising students in completing their undergraduate degree while taking out minimal debt. Scholarship amounts range from $4,000 to $15,000 and are designed to fulfill the unmet financial need of each student. The Reisher Scholars Program includes activites and support opportunities to create a community for those who join the program.

To be selected as a Reisher scholar at Fort Lewis, a student must:
Be a Colorado resident, or an out-of-state student receiving the Native American Tuition Waiver
Plan to enroll in the fall as a full-time college student working toward their first four-year degree
Be an incoming transfer student from a community college entering Fort Lewis as a Junior
Demonstrate one or more of the following personal qualities: highly motivated, goal-oriented, responsible, and/or likely to make a contribution to society as evidenced by community service, leadership activities, work experience, or unusual experiences.
Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
Have financial need with a total unmet need of at least $4,000 but not more than $15,000 as demonstrated by their completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and financial aid file
Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $9,000 or less.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the functional equivalent from the federal government no later than March 1st
